Tania Li
A social anthropologist by training, my research over the past thirty years has focused on land, labour, capitalism, development, resources and Indigeneity with a particular focus on Indonesia. My doctoral research concerned the Malay community in Singapore, and I'm thrilled to be back in Singapore now as the Yusof Ishak Professor in Social Sciences to conduct fresh research on how the Malay community has responded to the opportunities and challenges of everyday life in this multicultural city.
